Subpoena

A subpoena is a court-order that you do something. The order may take many forms, but usually directs you to testify before a grand jury or at trial, or to produce evidence. If you receive a subpoena, you should contact a lawyer. The subpoena may direct you to produce evidence to which the government is not entitled, or may request you to give testimony that is not in your best interest. A lawyer can properly advise you of these matters. If you wish to speak with a lawyer, contact us immediately.
